Leaves have adapted so well for photosynthesis because, they have placed thier chlorophyll at the top of the leaf and, they have adapted by having a large surface area which is dedicated to the stomata. The stomata of a leaf allows carbon dioxide into the leaf (this is helpful for the plant because, carbon dioxide is one of the factors of photosynthesis. This feature can also cause a deficiency in water. To decrease the water loss the leaf is coated in a waxy cuticle (this also helps from letting water vapor escape from the epidermis).
