Phosphorus is a chemical element that is explosive , poisonous, and nonmetal. Phosphorus comes in two types:
∞The 1st kind is yellow phosphorus and it is waxy. It is solid and it ignites spontaneously in air and glows in the dark.
∞The 2nd kind is red phosphorus.
∞This phosphorus is used to make machines and it is less reactive than the yellow phosphorus.
∞But, the phosphorus that is found in algal bloom is in the form of fertilizers.

Did you know that phosphorus is part of our DNA? Phosphorus is a very important element for all living cells. Phosphorus has a very important structural role in your bones and teeth. In your body phosphorus is categorized as an acid. Phosphorus is also important for energy metabolism, it helps transfer fats in the body, and without enough phosphorus in your body you WILL get weakness and bone pains. The most important commercial use of phosphorus chemicals is the production of fertilizers. Phosphorus is also used in many explosives, matches, pesticides, detergents, toothpaste, detergents, and fireworks.

Eutrophication happens when: fresh water changes in nutrient levels. This can happen from runoff water collecting fertilizers. Also sewage water that is contaminating the water can cause Eutrophication. All of this causes algal blooms.

The main effects cause by eutrophication can be summarized as follows:
∞Species diversity decreases and the dominant biota changes (biota is: the animal or plant life of a particular place)
∞Plant and animal biomass increase (biomass is: the total mass of organisms in a certain volume)
∞Turbidity increases (Turbidity is: muddiness created by stirring up sediment)
∞Anoxic conditions may grow (Anoxic is: a large lacking of oxygen.)

Many countries depend on tourism for their main source of money. Well what would happen if that country or place is surrounded by water where eutrophication is occurring. The poverty rate in the city will go up and there will be no clean water. On the contrary, eutrophication can form many jobs. For example, there would be more workers working to keep water clean. This would decrease the poverty rate in that place because, more people would have jobs.
